Four generations of toast

Our proud Frisian family company has been baking toast for four generations. This delicious toast has won over the hearts and kitchen cabinets of people from all over the world. It shouldn’t come as a big surprise, because Melba Toast Sesame is a source of fiber, as well as being light, crispy and low in fat.

Nellie Melba

Nellie Melba (May 19, 1861 - February 23, 1931) was an Australian soprano. In 1886 Nellie and her family left Australia to become known as opera singer in Europe. It worked! She became a musician of world renown. Her name is still associated with two dishes, the dessert pêche Melba and our delicious Melba toast. Both are conceived by the French chef cook Auguste Escoffier. The dessert when he saw Nellie perform and the Melba toast when he fell in love with her.
